Poruvazhy Peruviruthy Malanada Temple

Poruvazhy Peruviruthy Malanada, popularly known as Malanada, is a distinctive spiritual and cultural destination in Kerala, located in Edakkad Ward (Kara) of Poruvazhy Village, Kunnathoor Taluk, Kollam District. Malanada is renowned for its unique tradition associated with the Mahabharata and the worship of Duryodhana through the concept of Sankalpam.

Situated along the northern boundary of Kollam District, Malanada lies close to the adjoining districts of Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. The temple is approximately equidistant from Adoor to the north-east and Sasthamkotta to the south-east.

Malanada is also conveniently accessible from Kayamkulam and Karunagappally, located along the National Highway, and from Kottarakkara, via Puthoor or Enathu along the Main Central Road. The temple is approximately 25 kilometres from each of these major centres, making it easily accessible to devotees and visitors from across the region.
